An early experiment in HDR, this image reveals the point spread function of the telescope (Takahashi CN212 at f/12) including the diffraction spikes of the secondary mirror vanes. The dim star is at magnitude-10; Vega is 10,000 times brighter. The apparent "loops" in the image of Vega are due to imperfect motion deblurring and frame alignment.
