HDR image taken on night of the occultation of Regulus (seen smeared here to the left) via exposures ranging from 1 sec to 1/4000. Tone mapped in Photoshop CS2 using spatial adaptation tool (shadow/highlight). There is detail visible from the dark side even as the sunlit face remains within proper levels.
